Toll Collection on Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway to Start Saturday Print

KUALA LUMPUR, 15 JULY, 2010: Motorists using the Kemuning-Shah Alam Highway (LKSA) will start paying toll effective 12.01 on July 17 after enjoying toll-free rides since May 18, said the Malaysia Highway Authority (LLM).

LLM in a statement today said LKSA would operate as an open toll concept with two toll plazas situated in Seri Muda and Alam Impian.

The 14.7 km long highway provides a high-speed link connecting major highways in the Klang Valley.

LKSA begins at the existing KESAS Kota Kemuning Interchange and traverse northeast over Jalan Bukit Kemuning, Jalan Mantap, Sg Klang, Bulatan Jubli Perak, Persiaran Sultan and Bulatan Selangor towards Federal Highway.

According to LLM, public transport providers like buses and taxis would be given up to 50 per cent discounts for using the LKSA.

Vehicles with 2 axles and 3 or 4 wheels excluding taxis will pay RM1.20 at Sri Muda and RM0.60 at Alam Impian and vehicles with 2 axles and 5 or 6 wheels except buses pay RM2.40 at Sri Muda and RM1.20 at Alam Impian.

As for vehicles with 3 or more axles, RM3.60 will be charged at Sri Muda and RM1.80 at Alam Impian.
